The Highpointer's Club was founded by Jack Longacre. It consists of anyone who has climbed one or more of a ststes highest elevation. In Rhode Island the H.P. is in Foster off Route 101. 
     When climbers are there, they can sign a log book saying where they are from, how many states they have climbed and any comments they wish to share.
     That is what this book is all about. the author has combed through all the books from May 5, 2003 to Book 20 - March 21, 2025.
     He has gathered tons of stats like all 50 states plus D.C. is represented plus 32 countries plus the comments are interesting and funny at times.
     In 2005 the property was bought by a couple that did not mind people crossing their land to reach the highest point. Wiith efforts of the new owners, the H.P.ers Club and the state, the property was transfered to Rhode Island on December 3, 2008, allowing perpetual access to those seeking to reach the highest point in R.I.  
     Be sure and sign the log if you choose to take the challenge.
